Sox and Pinstripes Radio

"Sox and Pinstripes Radio" takes you inside the best rivalry in sports, chronicling the never-ending battle between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees.

An extension of the soxandpinstripes.com blog, the radio show will explore all things Red Sox and Yankees, debating the past, present, and future of the grand conflict. The idea is to create a forum for fans to talk a little baseball, share stories, and of course revel in the misery of the defeated opposition.

Hosts Jeff Louderback and Vincent Mercandetti represent both sides, marking perhaps the first time in history a Red Sox fan and a Yankee supporter have worked together for the common good.

Jeff is actually an Ohio native, but he grew up a Red Sox fan, worshipping the exploits of Boston legends like Jim Rice, Fred Lynn, Carlton Fisk, and Dwight Evans. He earned a communications degree from Wright State University and worked several years as a sports journalist before becoming a freelance writer and publicist, although his passion for the Red Sox never wavered.

Vince was born into a Yankee household, his family cheering the Bronx Bombers since the days of Babe Ruth. It's in his blood. He's currently attending Quinnipiac University, majoring in broadcast journalism.

On the upcoming July 1 show, Jeff and Vince will look at the Boston-New York blogosphere, introducing two prominent Red Sox and Yankee bloggers, engaging in what will surely be a lively discussion about the pressing issues facing both teams. Tune in and hear for yourself. The fun begins at 9 p.m. EST.
