Cubs Talk Radio

"Cubs Talk Radio" is the place for fans of the Chicago Cubs to talk about their favorite team with the passion and loyal devotion that makes them so special in the world of professional sports.

Despite not having won a World Series since 1908, true fans of the beloved Cubbies have never given up hope, returning to Wrigley Field each and every Spring with the same rabid enthusiasm and boundless optimism, thinking this could be the year.

And 2007 could very well be the year. It's deep into the summer and the Cubs are still in contention in the National League's Central Division, well within striking distance of the first place Milwaukee Brewers. New Cubs manager Lou Piniella has infused the team with his trademark fiery intensity, using his raw emotion to inspire the club right into the thick of the pennant chase. Derek Lee has rebounded nicely from his wrist injury, once again leading the offensive charge, combining with the slugging Aramis Ramirez and newcomer Alfonso Soriano to provide the Cubs with their most fearsome lineup in years. And the starting rotation, so often riddled with injury, has gotten strong performances from Carlos Zambrano, Ted Lilly, and Jason Marquis, while youngsters Rich Hill and Sean Marshall continue to develop into potential aces.

"Cubs Talk Radio" will cover the Cubs like no one else, rolling out multiple one-hour broadcasts each week throughout the season and continuing through the winter months, because, as everybody knows, no true Cubs fan ever hibernates.
