Navy Homefront TALK!

Women have been helping the cause of war since the very concept of war was thought of. From Rosie the Riveter to today’s Navy wife, those left behind as their loved ones march to war have found a simple, yet true, comfort in knowing that they are not alone in the world. Beth Wiruth has decided to open up the talking floodgates when it comes to her husband, her life, and her duty as a Navy wife. Beth’s talk show “Navy Homefront TALK!” is centered around love, life, information, news, and other events that affect Navy wives across the nation.

Beth is part of a nationwide program called “Homefront in Focus” that offers “support for military family success.” Beth is reaching out to Navy wives everywhere with her talk show and with other features of her homefront support system including a hotline that is available for any Navy wife that feels lonely or afraid. Unfortunately, Navy wives do not always know the status of their husbands across seas, but it is Beth’s mission to inform all of her listeners with the latest news and information relating to their loved ones.

Beth’s past shows have included topics such as “Politics? But I’m a Navy Spouse!”; “Help! I’m Married to the Military!”; “Becoming a Savvy Consumer;” “The Jiminator Returns;” and many other topics that help Navy wives learn and grow in the absence of their husbands. Beth has recently begun the “New Spouse/Girlfriends Club,” which aims at helping new Navy wives and girlfriends cope with all of that empty space once the man in their life has gone away. Navy wives tend to have a whole different outlook on life, and their lives can become more complicated than usual when husbands, fathers, and boyfriends exit the scene.

If you are a Navy wife, you may want to tune into “Navy Homefront TALK!” every Wednesday at 9 PM Eastern Standard Time in order to find a bit of strength and inspiration from wives across the nation who share in your pain. Learn to be a Navy wife, and learn to live strong.

My Relationship Answers

Emotional issues can so engage our minds that we will often lose our focus on the things that matter the most to us as well as having a negative affect on our professional life.

Host Dr. Molly Barrow, with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and many years of experience as a licensed mental health counselor provides effective answers to questions affecting the myriad relationships that exist between couples, individuals, families, and also businesses to assist in improving their communication skills, which is likely to improve those relationships.

Topics range from how to protect your children in the dangerous world of today to making peace with uncooperative co-workers as well as dealing with more general issues such as racism in society and the ever popular “getting over a broken relationship”.

As an accomplished author (Matchlines: A Revolutionary New Way of Looking at Relationships and Making the Right Choices in Love), article contributor to such esteemed publications as O Magazine, Psychology Today, AIA, GOP Forum, ivillage, Lavalife, MSN.com, Match.com, and Women’s Health, as well as running several websites, (http://www.askdrmolly.com/, http://www.drmollybarrow.com) Dr. Barrow’s open and approachable style to sharing knowledge is a welcome alternative for those who may be tiring of Dr. Phil’s smirking “how’s that working for you?” approach to dealing with life’s emotional challenges.

Barrow has also developed a series of self-tests that allow you to gauge the effectiveness of your current relationships and that will help you to find out what you are really looking for in future interactions, both personal and professional.

Overall, spending a few hours listening to Dr. Barrow is likely to be at least as helpful, and certainly far less expensive, than a great deal of face-to-face counseling. Just by themselves, the practical tips that she offers for protecting children are worth the time to check out her show and those couples who want to improve their relationship will almost certainly benefit from a “visit” with Dr. Molly Barrow.

The Woman He Wants - Relationships and Dating Advice

Have you ever wondered what role you’re really playing in your relationships? Want to know why you’ve been cheated on or dumped? Do you want to understand exactly what it is he’s looking for so you don’t have to go through all that again? Look no further than “The Woman He Wants,” the Tuesday night radio show from the good people at keeptheguy.com.

The Woman He Wants tackles issues every week related to dating and successful relationships. The show is by men for women, and offers real-world advice from the male perspective. In one recent show, Glenn Johnson guest starred and talked about how women use men for meals and then never go farther than that. He said that if you want to actually find a man, don’t have a meal for the first date.

Some of the other segments have touched on pressing issues like commitment, relationship roles, mind games, and cheating. The show has advertised that they will help you “cheat-proof” your relationship, and that you can really figure out what is going on inside his head if you put your mind to it.

The most recent segment explained some of the myths that are associated with the women of our society. It talked about the continued “double standard” of women to men in terms of promiscuity versus simple dating, why it is that women aren’t actually better at cheating than men, and many other common misconceptions. The show airs at 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, so listen in and become enlightened.
