Motherhood Uncensored

Having children is at the same time very difficult and very rewarding. Kristen Chase’s show is called Motherhood Uncensored because of her “no-more-Mrs.-Nice-Mom” approach, which, she says, is “not for the faint of heart.” A former college professor and musician, this mom is turning things around in blog radio with her witty and informative broadcasts- and her guests are there to back her up.

Previous broadcasts have included wise topics like, “Back to School From the Flip Side: The Down and Dirty From the Teachers”, where teachers sat in and discussed what they thought parents needed to know when it came to the first day of school and all things involved; “Where is the Love? Being a Good Parent Means Being a Good Spouse”, which discusses the conflicts that can come about with trying too hard to be either; “If There’s No Heaven, Where Do We Go? How to Parent Without Religion,” which discussed a recently released book, Parenting Without Belief, which brings up the quandaries of raising children without religion. Another show talked about “mommy guilt”, which raised the issue of parents looking too hard at what others were doing and couldn’t quite figure out what was best for their own kids.

Kristen Chase presents in an open-minded and no-holds-barred manner a variety of information that parents are sure to find refreshing and not in the least bit sugarcoated. In today’s world where millions of products are marketed at parents and almost all of them can seem very confusing, it’s a breath of fresh air to find someone who tells it like it is. You can listen to her show bi-monthly (usually every nine days) at 6:00 p.m.
