The Mo Show

This aptly named series is hosted by a guy named Mo. Mo doesn’t seem to have a particular topic - he’s considers himself part of the category of “fun”. He’s also all over the place, which is why listeners enjoy his shows. Some shows with a united theme can peter out over time as less information becomes available, but Mo keeps it fresh by making sure, every week, to deliver a fresh batch of comments on whatever strikes his fancy.

To set the times he is just spouting off from the other times when he’s being serious and avidly pursuing a topic, Mo labels the shows where he is just “rambling.” Topics he has covered include: the politics and ideas behind “Made in China”, a discussion on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the variations in classic sitcoms like Gilligan’s Island and I Dream of Jeannie, weird names for places around the U.S. (from churches to cities), blogging memes and their purpose in the blogosphere, and the roles that cats play in our lives.

Mo also has a weblog at Blogspot that goes into greater details about upcoming shows and preps listeners for the veritable radio feeding frenzy that is occurring on the site. From the number of comments he gets, it’s apparent that he’s popular, and it’s not difficult to see why. Mo is what we as listeners would call an audibly flexible guy- he can spout off on anything, but you can tell he really cares. Listen to his show at 4 p.m. every Wednesday.
