Inside Scoop Live
Inside Scoop Live is about writing, but not necessarily about news stories. Their main focus is on up-and-coming or newly published authors, who are invited onto the show to discuss their books with the show’s host.
Far from being dull, the show touches on just about every topic imaginable. They cover social issues, financial advice, romance, self-help novels, books challenging or championing moral causes, and many more. This week’s interview was with Adra Young about her new book, The Everyday Living of Children and Teens Monologues. Her book features fifty-one monologues with directives designed for young women and men who are aspiring actors and actresses. Previous guests have included Steven Paul Mark, whose book, Drift, is a mysterious and thrilling action story that was published in March; J.D. Tynan, a romance and suspense writer; Frank McGee, who told a tale of the Colwell brothers in his book, A Song For The World; Paul Holton, whose novel, Saving Babylon, talks about life as a soldier in Iraq; and Michael Holloway Perrone, who has made a name for himself as a gay male author and recently published A Time Before Me, a book that deals with that particular genre.
Inside Scoop Live offers witty commentary and a fresh look at writing from new authors, who often go unrecognized for a long period of time as they’re waiting for their novels to catch on. The interviews are conducted with humor and grace and listeners often find themselves captivated by these charming and hopeful young artists.
