BC Wine Cast

Are a wine drinker or enthusiast? For thousands of years people have been making wine, even our Roman ancestors enjoyed barrels of the fruity substance. As of late however, wine has continued to grow in stature becoming a product of obsession for many of the wealthy. Some even collect rare bottles and trade them like stocks and bonds. Some wine can even cost $15,000 per bottle and upwards. So what makes us so fond of alcoholic grape-juice? Simple, we love delicacies and foods that take long processes to create.

Every week for one hour, Dr. David E. Bond, Director of the Association of British Columbia Winegrowers, hosts his radio cast and gives us his opinion on the latest and greatest wines. He also talks about some of the best vintage years, and all sorts of other winery advice that is bar-none. His show mainly discusses the Artisan Wines of British Columbia, but Dr. Bond doesn’t stop just there.

Listeners can call in and ask any type of wine question that they can conceive, and the good Dr. will have an educated and accurate answer that he delivers, almost lecture style. With the ability to merely smell a cork and tell you whether the grapes were grown on a hill in the shade or facing the sun, to the type of soil and sediment they may have. Dr. Bond is one of North America’s premier wine experts. For those of us who enjoy a balanced glass of chardonnay, this show is definitely worth checking out.
