Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans can tune into "Pewter Radio" to get all the latest news and analysis of their favorite football team.
After a surprising playoff run in 2005, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers collapsed in 2006, finishing dead last in the NFC South with a pitiful 4-12 record and missing the postseason for the third time in four seasons. It seemed everything that could go wrong did go wrong, making the brilliant Super Bowl campaign of 2002 seem like ancient history. But the Bucs are back for 2007, with hopes of recapturing their championship glory.
Tampa Bay will have a new starting quarterback this season in Jeff Garcia. The 37-year-old signal caller had a career renaissance last year in Philadelphia and brings a thorough knowledge of Jon Gruden's West Coast offense to the Buccaneer huddle. Garcia's transition to his new team will be made easier if running back Carnell "Cadillac" Williams can regain his rookie form of 2005 when he rushed for 1178 yards and six touchdowns. Williams, who has been hampered by injuries for much of his young career, will be looking to pound the rock all season, running behind an improved offensive line When Garcia does put the ball in the air, he'll be looking for receivers Joey Galloway and Michael Clayton, although second-year man Maurice Stovall could also emerge as a playmaking threat. But if the Bucs want to return to the playoffs, the defense, led by the venerable Derrick Brooks, will need to set the tone early in season-opening contests against offensive powers Seattle, New Orleans, and St. Louis.
Whatever happens to the Bucs this season, "Pewter Radio" will have it covered. New episodes are broadcast live every Sunday at 6PM EST.
