Role Mommy

Yvette Corporon and Beth Feldman met in 1998 when they were both working in the entertainment business; Yvette was a news producer and Beth a publicist. Over the years, the two friends have become mothers, having two children each, and have learned the unique sometimes overwhelming burden of mixing parenthood with a professional career. Seeing each other juggle the various personal and business demands, Yvette and Beth realized they were each other's role model or, more precisely, role mommy. A great idea was born.

Hoping to help themselves and other mothers through the trying times, Yvette and Beth started RoleMommy.com, a parenting web site based on experience and not supposed expert advice. While the site offers parenting news and an assortment of other valuable info and resources, its main purpose is to help mothers, and even fathers, make it through each day, providing a friendly place to gather and exchange parenting experiences and humorous mishaps about balancing a family and career. Yvette and Beth have even created a line of clothing and jewelry perfect for Role Mommies everywhere, with T-shirts boasting such slogans as "Bedtime Is for Babies," "I Need a Playdate," and "I Don't Do Cupcakes!"

A natural addition to the successful web site, the "Role Mommy" radio show continues the noble work, providing busy parents with funny stories and parenting tips from celebrities, authors, and everyday working men and women. And don't forget to check out Yvette and Beth's new book, "Peeing in Peace: Tales and Tips for Type-A Moms."
