The definitive voice in New Jersey politics, "Blue Jersey Radio" covers the Garden State like no one else. Hosts Jeff Gardner and Jay Lassiter deliver their progressive views and keen political insights each and every Saturday from 10:30-11 a.m. EST. They'll keep you up to date with the latest buzz out of Trenton, interviewing the newsmakers and accepting your calls live on the air.
Recent broadcasts have featured New Jersey Senate candidate Gina Genovese live from the Democratic State Committee's Women's Campaign Training, Tom Wyka on New Jersey's Clean Election Program, and discussions on such topics as New Jersey presidential politics, civil unions, and eminent domain. Jeff and Jay even took time out to bestow the coveted Best-Dressed Legislator Award.
"Blue Jersey Radio" is an extension of the bluejersey.com blog, which was established in September of 2005 to be the progressive source for political news, analysis, and activism in New Jersey. The blog not only offers news and opinion, it's also an entire interactive community, allowing members to submit stories and post their own diary entries. People can even show their political pride with official Blue Jersey T-shirts.
Blue Jersey has received plenty of attention from traditional media outlets like the Associated Press, The New York Times, and the New Jersey Star Ledger. It's also been referenced numerous times on the National Journal's Hotline, and it was even featured on MSNBC's "Blog Connection."
Perhaps Democratic New Jersey congressman Rush Holt said it best when he so boldly proclaimed, "Blue Jersey keeps the political activity alive."
