Birmingham Revolution Radio

There’s a revolution coming, and this one’s going to be big. They call it the “Birmingham Revolution,” and it was created to be the face of Birmingham’s local music scene. Their radio show, “Birmingham Revolution Radio,” exists as the sole proprietor of the indie, the underplayed, and the unsigned straight from the heart of Birmingham, Alabama.

The Revolution began in 2005 when founder JD Franklin and Drexx first met and partnered with a computer-savvy friend. They co-hosted the budding radio show and things took off from there. Their dream is to make sure that the world doesn’t forget about Birmingham’s place in the music world, and they’re delivering that message one show at a time.

The duo is always looking for ways to improve their city’s music scene. In a recent blog post, they urged the local bands in the area to get out and promote themselves, even offering assistance if they don’t know how. What better way to get your band off the ground than to be featured on a radio show that reaches endless amounts of people via the web?

Their Sunday night show airs weekly at 6 p.m. central time, and they love it when people call in to talk shop. The more listeners, the better the scene, the better the music, the better the world. Birmingham Revolution Radio needs the city to rally behind them and help their noble cause.
