Jobs You Deserve Radio, hosted by Kristen Hallows

Okay so you are in a dead end job. So what right, it pays the bills. Wrong, many of us feel the weight of our jobs on our shoulders each and every day. Sometimes they can cause us insane amounts of stress and can even cause some of us to become depressed. The truth of the matter is that nobody wants to work a fast food job, or be stuck in a job where they feel they are just another worker ant taking food back for the queen. The reality is that many of us are capable of so much more, but where do we start? How do we get the information and education we need to gain more power inside of our profession?

Every week host Kristen Hallows takes us on an inspiring career journey in a show tagged as “Jobs You Deserve Radio” under the theme of “Banish the Sunday Night Blues!” Hallows’ approach to those of us stuck in jobs we dislike is that we already have the answers and her job is to ask us the questions. For those of us so stuck in the purgatory of our daily routines Hallows offers such advice, “Good news: you already have the knowledge, ingenuity and resources to achieve the results you want. You have the answers, and I have the questions!”

By tuning in, listeners will be given life changing advice that allows them to seriously realize their exponential, and how to utilize it to empower themselves within their careers. Kristen says, “Look forward to Mondays!” Most of us working adults feel quite the latter to that statement, as you are always hearing people complain about having to go back to work once the weekend is over. According to Hallows this is because they truly are unsatisfied with their careers. If you think that a career change for the better is in order for you, then you should drop Kristen a line on her next show and ask her if she has any advice to offer you, more than likely she does!

On October 4th Nakea Murray (Literary Consultant Group) will join them on the air to give advice to aspiring authors on what his agency reads and tosses. Murray will offer the audience solid approaches to their success by giving them hints and pointers as to just what literary agents look for in authors, and how you can get one; one of the biggest keys towards getting yourself a publishing contract.

Following a 30 minute stint with Murray the show will also have Treasure E. Within the recent decade, the art of scrapbooking has become increasingly popular. An art taken up originally by stay-at-home-moms in the 80’s, has grown to impressive proportions around the world. Today there are entire retail stores that are dedicated solely to the art of scrapbooking, and without surprise these establishments earn a good profit selling their wares to many avid scrapboookers. Due to the immense popularity of this memory capturing art, many websites and even seminars have spawned from its humble roots.

Now you are able to tune into a hot web radio show dedicated to this interested craft. The Diva Craft Lounge, hosted by “Scrapbook Diva” Danielle Forsgren. and “The Duke of Crafts” Rayme Royale, discusses all aspects of this unique trade. They talk about all the ins and outs of scrapbooking, the best places to buy your supplies at, and even review Scrapbooks that have been submitted.

The show doesn’t just stop there. They have added a new flare that they call, “Divas on the Road” a collection of reports from other avid scrapboookers who detail their experiences. Reports are submitted to the hosts every week and they sometimes even invite their “Remote Divas” on the air to share their stories with the audience.

Since putting together a Scrapbook can be a very long task, they also offer ways to simplify the process and tips on how you can save yourself some big bucks when resupplying. BC Wine Cast

Are a wine drinker or enthusiast? For thousands of years people have been making wine, even our Roman ancestors enjoyed barrels of the fruity substance. As of late however, wine has continued to grow in stature becoming a product of obsession for many of the wealthy. Some even collect rare bottles and trade them like stocks and bonds. Some wine can even cost $15,000 per bottle and upwards. So what makes us so fond of alcoholic grape-juice? Simple, we love delicacies and foods that take long processes to create.

Every week for one hour, Dr. David E. Bond, Director of the Association of British Columbia Winegrowers, hosts his radio cast and gives us his opinion on the latest and greatest wines. He also talks about some of the best vintage years, and all sorts of other winery advice that is bar-none. His show mainly discusses the Artisan Wines of British Columbia, but Dr. Bond doesn’t stop just there.

Listeners can call in and ask any type of wine question that they can conceive, and the good Dr. will have an educated and accurate answer that he delivers, almost lecture style. With the ability to merely smell a cork and tell you whether the grapes were grown on a hill in the shade or facing the sun, to the type of soil and sediment they may have. Dr. Bond is one of North America’s premier wine experts. For those of us who enjoy a balanced glass of chardonnay, this show is definitely worth checking out.
